Fabrice Flückiger, PhD

Historian, editor, book lover, crocodile friend and whisky enthusiast

About

I am currently head of the History editorial program at Schwabe Verlag in Basel. My current research as an associate member of the Institure of History at the Universität Bern focuses on representations of Good Governement in Swiss and German cities in the 16th century. I also worked on the political aspects of religious disputations in Switzerland and on the "Atlas Marianus" of Wilhem Gumppenberg SJ as an example of Jesuite science.

After studying History and German Medieval Literature in Geneva and Paris, I graduated from the University of Neuchâtel in 2016. I also worked at the LMU München.

I love books in all forms, I have a soft spot for crocodiles and I am always ready to enjoy a fine whisky in good company.
